This tour was a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. Really couldn’t fault it. Our family of four were fantastically hosted by Ryan, Trang, Cuong and Vy who took us around HCM and for a number of amazing food stops. It was great fun, informative and the food was excellent. We also appreciated that the food we tried was not the usual main Vietnamese menu items so everything we had was new for us even though we’d been eating our way across Vietnam for two weeks. Highly recommended!
Did the food tour with Brian and wow, what a great experience. We started at this simpl-looking place packed with locals to eat Vietnamese pancakes. Made with coconut milk and filled with shrimp, pork, and bamboo shoots, then flash fried in a wok, these super light pancakes are wrapped in various greens like mustard greens and lettuce, then dipped in a sweet chili sauce. Next up a trip to a little place serving seafood soup with a shrimp, crab and vegetables and a dipping sauce with a kick. After that, the BBQ. I could go on. All in all, the food was delicious and Brian was the perfect guide.
We had an amazing experience with Saigon Food Tours! The staff drove safely through the busy streets, which made us feel completely at ease. Their English was excellent, so communication was effortless, and they went out of their way to be kind and engaging with my 8-year-old son. Echt mega leuk, het eten was lekker, reden heel voorzichtig, echt veel ambiance en heel vriendelijk! Wij hadden Luan, Phuong en Binh samen en we hebben er een mega leuke avond van gemaakt :)
What an adventure! This was such an amazing all round experience for my whole family. My teenagers (16 and 14) absolutely loved it too. The brilliant guides we had (Trang, Thong, Minh and Phuong) were actually 6 stars but there is no such option.They spoke really good English and were so fun, friendly and informative. What was great was that we didn’t feel rushed, the food was amazing, and they sat and ate and chatted with us which gave us all opportunities to ask questions about everyday life in Ho Chi Minh. Our curiosity and appetite were sated and I strongly recommend this tour to everyone.Ps: being on the back of the scooter felt great too. I saw so much more of the city, off the beaten track.
